    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    Reservation and cancellation Reservation:

    To make a reservation, please contact us. To hold your reservation, we will need a Visa or Master Card number with expiration date. Sorry, we do not accept American Express.

    We will only charge your account in case of a cancellation or – at the end of your trip – if you decide to pay with credit card. There is a 20% VAT fee for credit card charges.

    Cancellation policy:

    In case of cancellation, Tuscany Tours by Golden Travel will charge: 
    50% of the total amount from reservation to 7 days before start of tour NOT REFUNDABLE
    100% of the total amount from 7 days to the day of the tour NOT REFUNDABLE

    Q: Is your company licensed?
    A: Yes, we are a fully licensed company and are required to abide by the regulations set by the Italy Council licensing authority. 

    Q: Are your prices for car or for person?
    A: Our prices are for car and minivan and our price tours are normally per person. 

    Q: How early do I need to book my car?
    A: The earlier the better. However, 48 hours would be recommended. 

    Q: How do I make an on-line booking?
    A: You can make a booking sending an e-mail via our link CONTACT US. We will contact you within one to two days.

    Q: Can I make a booking on the phone?
    A: Yes. You can make a booking on the phone, our telephone number is +39 3282605736. This is often the best method if you are making a last minute booking. Please check our office hours. You may also e-mail us. 

    Q: Can I make a booking if the party consists of more than 8 passengers?
    A: We can provide you a service with a combination of vehicles.

    Q: Will you meet us at any time of day?
    A: Yes we are able to provide a 24hour service.

    Q: How do I meet the driver?
    A: Your driver will meet you in the arrivals area at your exit gate. He or she will be holding a board with your name written on it. Wherever possible we will supply you with your driver’s name and mobile number.

    Q: What will happen if we do not meet the driver?
    A: If you are unable to locate our driver, please call +39 3282605736. The duty manager will be in possession of this phone and will contact the driver allocated to your booking.

    Q: Can you guarantee your driver will be at the airport on time?
    A: Though our drivers will make every effort to arrive on time, at times it is difficult to predict traffic and other situations outside of our control. We will make every effort to contact you via the public address system at the airport if we are delayed. These instances are very rare 99% of the time we are able to meet you upon arrival. Where no service is provided, we will refund any advance payment so long as you have supplied us with accurate flight information.

    Q: Do I need to pay in advance?
    A: Yes. We ask patrons to pay 50% of the total amount in advance. THIS IS NOT REFUNDABLE.

    Q: Do we need to tip our driver?
    A: Tipping is not essential, but in Italy, a tip is offered as a sign of appreciation for good service. The regional average is 10 - 15%.

    Q: What is “desired time of pickup”?
    A: This is to facilitate flexible pickup arrangements, whenever required. Upon your departure from Italy, we can suggest a time of pick up. For arrivals, please give us flight details. We will check the flight status. You are welcome to make any arrangement suitable to you.
